I was reading some of these comments on here about Johnny Weissmuller and I was touched by them. He was my Grandfather. By blood. Unfortunatly there are a few imposters using his name for profit. On this website under the Family of Johnny Weissmuller heading, there is the worst one: Lisa Weissmuller. Her daughter, also named Lisa, is using Weissmuller as her name now too, and reaping the benifits that his real family should receive. It pisses me off, that because of neglect by my parents, these people have sprung up like weeds to capitalize on my grandpa's legacy. Lisa convinced the International Swimming Hall of Fame, where my grandpa's swimming medals are displayed, the she was Johnny's daughter and she wanted to borrow the medals for a party and would return them after. Of course they were never returned. They were sold off. That is what these people are all about. Well it's time to weed the garden and get these fake people off my grandfather's back. I know he would thank me. Alison who wrote above is correct about Lisa Weissmuller. Lisa Weissmuller was no relation to Johnny Weissmuller. She was a liar and a fake. And now here daughter is doing the same thing. If anyone wants to do some pro bono work and send these mootches a cease and desist letter, I'd be much obliged!!

I remember watching a lot of Johnny Weissmuller's Tarzan and the Jungle Jim Movies at the Drive-in's on the weekends in the 1950's. In the 1960's they would be shown on the Monday Night Movie on a local station in Tucson, Arizona. As a Kid I too would do my Holler as Tarzan in the neighborhood.....not really much to say about that....Hmmm. Anyway Johnny Weissmuller is the #1 Tarzan in my books. In Tucson, Arizona in 1966 in my Sophmore year of High School Johnny Weissmuller was at "Flash TV" downtown and my Mom, my two Sisters and I met Him and I had my letter sweater and We talked about what sports that I was in, then He turned around and said Hi Mary, to my Mother. She did not have a name tag or any of us did not tell Johnny Her name......boy that made our day....especially Mom. Great Memory of Johnny Weissmuller. I want to Thank TCM for having all the Tarzan Movies with Johnny Weissmuller.....I do have that collection now and NOW I see that you have all of the Jungle Jim Movies that I will order for my Johnny Weismuller Collection. Thank You again TCM.

Lisa Weissmuller is not his daughter. His 2nd daughter he had with Beryl Scott is Heidi Weissmuller who died in a car crash when she was 19. Lisa is a daughter of his 5th wife Maria.

I Love all the old movies and nobody brings it like TCM but starting to see a lot of the same movies and a lot of all day a tons. Which is great! But where's Johnny Weissmuller in Tarzan and Jungle Jim. It seems like Turner Classic Movies could mix it up some. Starting to feel like TCM is getting stuck in a rut. I would absolutly give up some silent or foriegn films for a little change.
