Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

German actor Norbert Weisser has worked extensively in the Los Angeles theater scene but is more recognizable for his many supporting parts in major films, such as "Schindler's List." He moved from Germany to Los Angeles in the late '60s and quickly became involved in the burgeoning experimental theater scene. While acting in numerous stage productions, Weisser first made his way onto the small screen in TV movies and series before expanding to features with "Midnight Express," as an inmate in the renowned drug-smuggling prison picture. He continued to work steadily in both television and film, generally in small supporting parts. A couple of notable exceptions include a Nazi soldier in Steven Spielberg's World War II epic, "Schindler's List," and a doctor giving special female massage treatments in "The Road to Wellville." In addition to his award-winning acting work, Weisser has directed and produced for the theater. He acts regularly in the films of Albert Pyun, a director of schlocky, low-budget action and science fiction pictures who has garnered not-entirely-favorable comparisons to Ed Wood.
