The movie people goofed!
Such a shame Virginia was only given second fiddle roles for so long. There was a real talent there and they missed it. Her fans certainly appreciate her.

Absolutely adorable little actress. Very underrated; she added greatly to her many films as a juvenile star. In particular, she was a scene stealer in "Young Tom Edison" and a real treat in "Philadelphia Story" as Kate Hepburn's wise cracking kid sister. I have enjoyed her work tremendously.
Forget Shirley Temple
Without a doubt Virginia Weidler was the best child actress of her time.
Virginia-talented and smart
I love Virginia. She was talented and smart. She gave great performances. She was smart and sweet in "The Women" so I disagree with Fiona. Virginia Weider was a wonderful actress.
She was her peak as a foil to Katharine Hepburn. Her song, "Lydia," pops in my head from time to time and I can't get it out.
The first date of birth you give for Virginia is 03-21-1927, but in the second sentence under contributions, you state,'Born in Eagle Rock, CA in 1926.'
