Included in the group are Judge Cole (Billy House), known as "the Hanging Judge" and Barnum (Barton MacLane), local saloon owner. After defeating all the crooks, Breen is told by Louisa that she, the last of the Salazars, is going to return the treasure to its rightful owners, and lift the curse.

One of the survivors, CHarlie Bryan (Don Beddoe), witnessed the capture of his two daughters, Rebecca (Kristine Miller) and Helen (Mary Treen), by the Indians. Boone succeeds in locating and rescuing the women. Shorty afterwards, the Boone party is joined by Captain Fraser (Damian O'Flynn), who proves to be an intelligence officer in the French forces, and Boone's small group is captured. An Indian attack is diverted and the tables are turned in favor of the British forces. Boone kills Captain Fraser, and looks forward to a happy future in Kentucky with Rebecca.

While robbing the stage with Jeff Johnson (Tommy Farrell), outlaws Jordan (Terry Frost) and Wilkins (Zon Murray) kill the stage guard and leave Jeff unconscious on the trail, to be picked up by pursuing U.S. Marshals Tom Yeager (Whip Wilson) and "Hungry" Rogers. Posing as an outlaw, Tom is put in the same cell with Jeff, and, with Hungry's help, stages a jailbreak and takes Jeff with him on the latter's promise to lead him to an outlaw gang head by the supposedly-dead Bill Moore (Stanley Price). They find the gang led by Anne Moore (Phyllis Coates), who passes on the instructions of her infamous father. Wilkins, after an unsuccessful attempt to ambush Tom, is taken to jail where the gabby sheriff informs him of the two marshal's true identities. Tom and Anne take the loot from a staged-bank robbery to Moore, where Tom arrests him and Anne and declares that Moore is an imposter. Meanwhile, Jordan visits Wilkins in jail and learns about Tom being a lawman, and sets a trap for him.

U.S. Marshals Dave Willis (Johnny Mack Brown) and Sandy Barrett (Milburn Morante), traveling incognito to investigate the robbery of a shipment of Mexican Government gold, rescue Kathy Martin (Jane Adams) from an outlaw ambush, after her father Joel Martin (Steve Clark), publisher of the Latigo newspaper, has been wounded. Later, Martin is killed, and Bull Jackson (Marshall Reed), who claims to have seen the crime, accuses Dave of the murder. Dave reveals he is a U.S. Ranger and Sheriff Doss (Bud Osborne) releases him. Roger Bigsby (Hugh Prosser), co-owner of the newspaper and secret leader of the outlaw gang, sends Jackson to ambush Dave, who escapes. Bigsby, learning that Sonny Lang (Myron Healey), a notorious gunman once jailed by Dave is being released from prison, sends for him and hires him to get rid of Dave, who is close to discovering that the stolen gold has been cast as newspaper type and shipped east.

David Langham (James Lydon), the youngest son of a hot-rod hating father, Judge Langham (Art Baker), buys an old jalopy but, out of respect for his father, doesn't convert it. He changes his mind when Jack Blodgett (Tommy Bond), the local speed demon, impresses David's girl, Janie Pitts (Gloria Winters), and David makes his car the fastest in town. Jack steals David's hot rod, and flees the scene of an accident he causes. The car is traced back to David, but the truth comes out in court, although David's father is still unhappy about the car...until David and his friend, Swifty Johnson (Gil Stratton Jr.), use it to apprehend some escaping robbers. The Judge decides to back a movement for building a hot-rod race track for the town.

In the fourth and last Red Ryder (following "Ride, Rider, Ride", "Roll, Thunder, Roll" and "The Fighting Redhead" in that order) of the Equity Pictures for Eagle-Lion distribution, filmed in Cinecolor, Red Ryder (Jim Bannon) takes Steve Stevenson (Don Haggerty), who has saved Red's life, to his ranch and gives him a job. Red's aunt, the Duchess (Marin Sais), knew Steve's father (Forrest Taylor), who supposedly committed suicide after losing his ranch betting on a prizefight. Steve refuses to believe that his father took his own life and the Duchess backs him up. On the way to town, Red, Steve, ranch hand Buckshot Blodgett (Emmett Lynn) and Red's young Indian pal, Little Beaver (Don Kay Reynolds as Little Brown Jug), break up an attempted stagecoach robbery. Mark Palmer (John Hart), the gambler who caused the death of Steve's father, is a passenger. In town, Steve meets Sue Evans (Karen Randle), who is going to work for saloon owner Bart Osborne (Marshall Reed). Palmer and Osborne are working together and want Ryder's ranch, and they develop a plan to have Red fight Palmer's pugilist, Bull Massoon (Lou Nova, former fighter who lost a heavyweight championship fight to Joe Louis in 1941, who has never lost in the "film" ring. Steve, a boxer in college, takes Red's place. Steve loses to Massoon, but before Red can determine whether it was a fair fight, a rider reports a robbery of the stage office. Red goes after the outlaws, and the gold is recovered. Red maneuvers a fight with Massoon, and beats him after Massoon drops a piece of lead pipe hidden in his hand. Palmer admits to having murdered Steve's father, and teve learns that Sue was forced to work for Osborne to pay off a debt owed by her brother.

Inga (June Duprez), a Norwegian girl to whom Falken was once engaged but who has become the sweetheart of Oberst Von Ritter (Victor Varconi), betrays their hiding place. The three overpower the Gestapo men sent after them, take their uniforms and enter the prison camp and free Heden. The four men then start for the coast to meet the Commando expedition. Inga, who the men still trust, again informs von Ritter and Falken is captured but Bob and Harry escape with the aid of Dalberg, who they thought was a Quisling stooge.

Masquerading as a crook, Tommy is saved from jail by the Crippen machine, which is headed by Harker (Selmer Jackson), Mrs. Crippen's lawyer and partner. Tommy joins the gang, wins the old lady's confidence and fall in love with her secretary, Milly (Terry Walker), who is unaware of her employer's criminal activities. Mrs. Crippen is working to save her son John (Matty Fain) from the electric chair. Tommy brings John, who has escaped from the penitentiary, directly to Mrs. Crippen so she can be caught red-handed. Tipped off that the police are closing in, she leaves for her hideout with Tommy, John, Milly (who she has kidnapped) and two henchmen. Harker has discovered Tommy's true identity and relays the information to the gang.

Kate thinks he's just using Sally; Sally believes that he truly likes her. Randolph comes to the farm and appears to woo Kate. Kate remains unconvinced about selling out, but falls for Randolph.

The story begins in 1923 where after an accident, a newspaper reporter (Ford) needs to raise $5,000 to pay for an operation, otherwise his young sister will be crippled for life. The desperate reporter is finally able to get the cash from a shady acquaintance, Riggs (played well by Kohler). Eight years later in New York, circumstances conspire to place the reporter as the number one suspect in the murder of a showgirl. With no witness or alibi, the reporter devises a plan to smoke out the real culprit. A meeting is arranged under the cover of night and to the surprise of both men, the murderer is Riggs. Out of gratitude for past generosity to his sister, the reporter agrees not to expose Riggs, however unwittingly leads the police to him! Riggs is found guilty, and a dramatic scene in the courthouse ensues.
