Who knew??? - "Always in my Heart" is on as we speak - unbelievably virtuoso harmonica, too (boatloads of 'em), with a buncha whacko's wielding the inspired grace to combine operetta, Greatest-Hits-Classics, and the grounded, natural gravitas of Walter Huston and Una O'Connor. What a fun movie! Even Kay Francis' fairly bovine saccharinity can't weigh down the weird fun. - But Gloria W. can SING! She just held a high F forEVER at the end of "Una Voce Poca Fa!" - Such a shame that Gloria, Deanna and Jane Powell took such a dive when America got a bit more crass - not that you ONLY want light coloratura, but ... I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS SOMEWHAT FORGOTTEN FILM and young singer. Good one, Warner Bros.!

I have watched many "losers"on TCM; but, this-Always in My Heart- is not one of them. This movie had everything: love, family ties, devotion, action, lack of predjuice, Music, i.e. i would look at this movie over and over. Its ashame its not on DVD for home viewing. These are the movies I used to watch in the 40's and 50's. I had forgotten how entertaining a movie can be until I happened to see Always in My Heart. I hope TCM shows this again, soon.
