Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Lisa Waltz is an actress with wide-set eyes and a pleasantly warming smile, exuding an especially strong "Where-do-I-know-her-from?" familiarity. She may be most recognizable from one of her earliest roles, as Nora in the 1986 Neil Simon film comedy, "Brighton Beach Memoirs," which was based on his own Broadway play. In the late '80s, Waltz made guest appearances on the relationship drama series "thirtysomething" and the crime drama "Wiseguy." In 1993, she played Stephie O'Connell, sister to lead chaaracter Maggie O'Connell, on an episode of the drama series "Northern Exposure." Waltz's biggest TV role of the decade would have to be weighed between her five-episode run on the ABC coming-of-age drama "My So-Called Life," starring Claire Danes, and the forgotten single-season comedy "Ask Harriet," on which she co-starred with Anthony Tyler Quinn. Once again, her more substantial work came in film: in 1992, Waltz had a key supporting role in the successful horror thriller "Pet Sematary II," and in 1998, she had the opportunity to play opposite Jack Lemmon, as his daughter, in another Neil Simon effort, the sequel "The Odd Couple II," in which Waltz reunited with "Brighton Beach Memoirs" star Jonathan...

Over the '00s, Waltz kept busy with a variety of projects. She found work in five episodes of the 10-episode drama "Inconceivable" and in the latter part of the decade, she landed longer recurring stints on soap opera institutions, including six episodes each on "The Young and the Restless" and "General Hospital."
