  Not much to add to the reviews below. She was incredibly cute in both face and mannerisms...a lively presence. I wish we could see more of her. I watch my Tivoed version of It with notable regularity.

  Clara Bow was such an influential actress in the early days of Hollywood, yet we hardly hear about her. I'm reading her life story right now and it's fascinating. I'd love to see TCM do a special on this undervalued actress and give her the attention she deserved then and still does now. And I'd love to finally hear one of her talkies, if they are still around!

  I was hoping in the near future that you could have a birthday tribute or maybe SOTM for her. IT's very rare that I see her movies & really like her very much- from clips & her life story. I understand it might be difficult to get the rights to her films but if you could show a few of her silents & a couple of her talkies. That would be wonderful!!   I discovered Clara Bow in high school about 30 years ago and was always fascinated with her and the films she did. I thank David Stenn for writing a definitive biography about her and letting a new generation discover her work and the person she was,not Clara Bow of 'Hollywood Babylon' but a real person who had trials and tribulationsand rose above them. Clara leftherself behind in a body of work that today more than 80 years later still captures our attention and hopefully for the future. Luminous,vivacious,and straight forward Clara is the ultimate "It" Girl.

  I honestly can't think of an actress I love to watch more than Clara Bow. She lights up and brings life to every film she's in. A natural actress in a time when over-acting was often found. TCM has entire days where they feature an actor, actress, or directors but seem to be lacking in the silent film department. Clara, among many others and the entire silent genre, deserves more recognition.

  Clara Bow is a true treasure of American Cinema. She lit up the screen in every scene of every film she's made. Her talent was so unique that even after finishing watching a movie, you think with warmth of the experience. It's not inconceivable to understand that she was the top box office draw in her day. If only her career wasn't so brief- so many more wonderful movies could have been made. It's a complete disgrace that her films deteriorate in archives and kept locked from movie lovers robbed of a pleasure to see her performances. Some of her films are completely gone.
