Moved to Nice to work at Franco-Film's new production studio

First film assignment as assistant cameraman on film, "Venus"
1930:
Film directing debut with "A Propos de Nice"
1933:
Third film, "Zero de conduite" removed from circulation by censors because it was considered "anti-France" (except for cine-club screenings, not shown again in France until 1945)
