Lee Van Cleef movies
- Marlene Buchhalter
This man was a consummate actor. His face was magnificent and he used it to full effect. Like Brando, when Lee came on the screen you paid attention. He could also embrace a woman better than any actor in westerns-- all passion. all man. We lost him too soon and recognition for him has been wanting. No star on the Hollywood walk of fame and no tributes to his lifetime achievements in film. Too bad. There will never be another Lee Van Cleef--the face, the man. the legend. Rest in Peace Angel Eyes.
a funny thing happened ...
my first "who's that?" occurred when i was 6, maybe 7. i went to the movies quite a lot with my parents and would watch the movie, eat the popcorn and went home but when i first saw mr. van cleef on the screen, i asked my dad, like "who's that guy"? something caught my attention and stayed with his character for the rest of his acting life. i found out later two things: his name and that was how this hollywood star thing came about. know what? he never disappointed in his performances and was, to me, the perfect villian. bravo mr. van cleef. through your movies, you will live forever! not all that shabby for a kid from new jersey!
Best of the Bad
Lee Van Cleef faced his final showdown with the Grim Reaper much to early in life, but when they did meet, I bet that the Reaper asked Van Cleef for tips on how to look more menacing. He was one of a kind, the best of the bad yet when he smiled, those beady eyes sparkled.
Lee Van Cleef was a fine actor and human being,
We will miss Mr. Van Cleef
Lee Van Cleef
He was so good in the good bad & ugly.. His acting was great as a villan..Loved him and will always remember him
More, More, More
I remember The Good, The Bad and The Ugly from when I was a child. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Same with For A Few Dollars More. Mr. Van Cleef is always fascinating to watch. Even now, I will stop everything else when one of his films is showing. The man was an icon.
Love the Cleef
What a great actor, i loved him in the spegetti westerns. Although he never seems to get into the main stream, evn tough the two spegetti westerns were big hits I wish they had made more spagetti movies with him as the headliner. RIP Lee and thanks for entertaining and making me a western fan when i was a kid.
