John Trent worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Trent began his acting career with roles in such films as "Badge of Honor" (1934), "A Doctor's Diary" (1937) and "She's No Lady" (1937). He also appeared in "Danger Flight" (1939), "Mystery Plane" (1939) and "I Wanted Wings" (1941). He continued to work in film in the seventies, directing motion pictures like the dramatic adventure "The Bushbaby" (1970) with Margaret Brooks and "It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time" (1975) with Anthony Newley. In the seventies through the eighties, Trent lent his talents to projects like "Love at First Sight" (1977) starring Mary Ann McDonald, "Middle Age Crazy" (1980), "Red Skelton's Christmas Dinner" (HBO, 1982-83), "Best Revenge" with John Heard (1984), "The Boy in Blue" (1986) and "Men of Steel" (1988) starring Allan Royal. Trent most recently acted in "What I Did When I Was Away" (1997).
