Laura Treadwell was born in Shepherdstown, WV on July 14, 1879 and died in Los Angeles on November 22, 1960. Her second marriage was to George Curtis Treadwell in 1911. She appeared in several Broadway plays before moving to Los Angeles in the early 30s after Treadwell died. Laura Treadwell appeared in more than 70 films as a bit or character actor. She had a sister, Helene Mitchel, also a Broadway actress.
