  • Another Reliable Warner Bros Actor

George Tobias was one of those Warner Bros actors who though not a leading man or actor always gave us a solid performance in any movie he appeared. He was so good that James Cagney took time out to mention him at his AFI dinner. When you look at his performances in Yankee Doodle Dandy, Sgt York, Captains of The Clouds, and Air Force then you will know why. He and Allan Hale could always be counted on to add something to a WB movie, and both are sorely missed today.
