  Ahh the lovely Gene Tierney. Who can forget the first time they saw her in 'Laura?' She was wonderful in every picture I saw her in. Maybe she was cast in some bad movies but I haven't seen her in any of those. Her acting skills were not fully used over her career. She proved what she could do in 'Leave Her to Heaven.' A very complex person she portrayed in that movie. Loved her in 'The Razor's Edge' as well. While the three mentioned movies were probably her best, her wonderful looks and presence made her a standout feature in any movie she may have made.

  When I teach Film Appreciation and Film History courses as an adjunct professor, my screening of LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN is always one of the semester's highlights. My students, mostly in their late teens and early twenties, invariably are intrigued by both the perversity of the main character and the beauty of her portrayer, Gene Tierney. I am privileged to do my part in introducing Ms. Tierney to a younger generation, just as my mother first told me about the greatness of LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN.

  I just love this movie! I watch this movie everytime it comes on and set a reminder. Gene Tierney is one hell of an actress and a beautful woman. The character she plays is so different from the movie The Ghost and Mrs. Muir which makes her a unique actress. I have not seen Laura yet but will when it comes on again.

  The first time I saw this movie I just loved it! I watch it everytime it comes on and I also bought the DVD. Her character is so different from the movie Leave Her To Heaven which I love to also watch.

I just finished viewing a half-dozen Rita Hayworth films and thought I'd discovered the ultimate in shimmer and sizzle!   Just finished watching Leave Her to Heaven WOW! Did not realize they made movies like this in the 40's. I heard of Gene Tierney, she was scary in this movie. I could not believe anything so beauitful could be so dark. I would like to see more of this incredible actresses work.

  One of the most uderrated Actresses of the studio era. Most people don't realize Miss Tierney was a Broadway star before her move to films. Tierney was a comic actress before a dramatic one in the movies

  Despite being miscast over and over again, Ms Tierney was able to star in many Classic movies -The Mating Season, The Ghost And Mrs Muir, The Razors Edge, Whirlpool, Leave Her To Heaven, Laura, Heaven Can Wait. These are some of the best movies of Hollywoods Golden Age. This does not include some movies which are not classics but still notable. She was able to accomplish so much even with all of her emotional problems. Amazing!!!!

  everyone talks about laura it is a good film but not much of a role for gene the more films i se the more iam impressed with her talent i love her in heaven can wait a complete performance and she was so young she was also evil incarnate in leave her to heaven and villainous but entirely differnet as the vain isabel she is also so beleivable in the ghost and mrs. muir and still so young to be giving such a mature performance and check out whirlpool this may come cclosest to who she was and what she went through i wonder how different her life would have been if she had been allowed to marry john kennedy?

  She had a sad life and it was a shame that Hollywood used her. Laura was one of the best Movies ever made and Gene showed her talent. She had alot of class and working with the Actors & Actress's during the filming of Laura showed. What a good group of people.
