The suave man
Not classically handsome but moves like a panther. Suave. Love Have Gun, Will Travel. His facial expressions are priceless at times.
A man to remember: Richard Boone
- Jerlyn Parsells
When I was a child during the 50's, my family use to watch a TV show called "Have Gun-Will Travel religiously. Because Richard Boone made the character interesting, believable and fun. I've seen Richard Boone in many movies and each one he showed compassion and conviction for the parts he played. No matter how long the part or short, he played it well. I would like to see some of his movies and TV shows on DVD. His acting was great and to add to his acting, his facial expression spoke volume for the character he was playing. I won't forget him and I'm sure other people won't forget him either.
Amazing actor - with tons of charisma!
My family and I have recently 'discovered' Have Gun - Will Travel and Paladin aka Richard Boone. I'm a life long Bonanza fan - through reruns more than anything - and wish Paladin could have been included with our Bonanza boys...to have seen Richard Boone and Pernell Roberts act together would have been incredible I'm sure! If you are a western fan and have not seen Have Gun - Will Travel, do yourself a favor and see it. What a character - and obviously Richard Boone by all accounts was quite a man...
I remember Richard Boone on the Sunday Night Movies in the Early 70's. He played Heck Ramsey and the show shared a time slot with other mystery movies I believe with Rock Hudson on McMillan & Wife and Dennis weaver as McCloud.
Richard Boone never got the credit he deserved
There was much more to Richard Boone than Paladin. He was a strong, gutsy actor who wasn't afraid to take chances. He also had an inate charm and sensitivity that came through even in his less savory characters. He needs to be remembered.
