When all is said and done Pat Boone did a fantastic job in "Journey To The Center of the Earth'. He was warm, natural, & totally believable. The striking qualities of veterans like James Mason did not water down Pat's performance. He helped make the movie a classic to be enjoyed again and again. -Parmound

After all the years that I've been around (56, as a matter of fact), this gentleman has still quality that I admire. I remember his first movie he starred in back in '57. I went to see it in my birthtown home of Indianapolis. And those tunes he sang back then...my what a great tone in voice...and the good looks sure helped! (I have a tape collection of his best hits, with "Moody River" being my favorite) Back in November of 1972, a couple of young Christian friends & I went from Indy to Bloomington, IN to see his family in concert at Indiana University. That was a nice well rounded nite of entertainment & faith sharing by all. And, to see his beautiful wife & girls sing...that was grand. Of all the movies I've seen with Pat Boone starring, my favorite is still "Journey to the Center of the Earth" (1959). And to star with one of my favorite British actors, James Mason, well that made the movie really special to me. Long may the Boone Family continue & grow. Thanks Pat, for being in my life as among my favorite "quality" actors!
