Russ Tamblyn is a seldom-mentioned actor of yesteryear. I knew he had to be a former gymnast (high school), but I didn't know he was so tall (average height:5'9", but tall for a gymnast). What an athlete he was! "West Side Story" was a great showcase for his talents; he was a good actor, too -- nominated for Best Supporting Actor in '57's "Peyton Place". His performance in "Tom Thumb" was certainly memorable. Using props and natural ability, he was quite a presence. Also, it's a very uplifting movie. He's so happy and positive throughout.

THIS MAN IS ABOUT THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS, AND MY OWN FAVORITE ACTOR. I'VE BEEN HIS FAN SINCE I WAS NINE AND SAW WEST SIDE STORY WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT. EVER SINCE THEN, I'VE BEEN OVERCOME BY HIS COMMANDING PERFORMANCES, AND FROM WHAT I'VE LEARNED, HE IS A WONDERFUL PERSON TO GET TO KNOW.

IN WRITING THIS ABOUT RUSS TAMBLYN HE IS THE MOST GREATEST ACTOR EVER BORN, HE WAS JUST FANTASTIC IN WEST SIDE STORY AS RIFF THE JETS LEADER, HE SEEMS TO BE A LEADER IN EVERY ASPECT OF HE WORD. IN WEST SIDE STORY HE LEADS EVERYONE TO FIGHT HARD FOR ALL THAT THEY HAVE, IT IS A SHAME THAT HE DIES IN THIS STORY, BUT HE GAVE ONE HELLAVA PERFORMANCE ALL IN ALL. HIS FAMILY MUST BE SO VERY PROUD OF HIM AND HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS TOO.
