I absolutely love Alfalfa! He's so adorable!:D I hate remembering him being dead, it just makes me sad. If he could watch over me right now, I'd tell him that he means the world to me and that he's my favorite person<3 if I could wish for anything, it would be for Carl "Alfalfa" to be alive again. I'm only 14, and I care about him A LOT!!! He's my favorite rascal from "The Little Rascals" because he's unique and really cute^^ He had adorable singing, he himself was adorable...if he were here right now, I'd give him a hug:) He's just...amazing...<3 I'll pray for him

My Favorite Guy!!

Words can`t express the immense love I have for this guy. Carl, to this day has been misunderstood by the media. They have done nothing but flame this delightful character actor. Many half-truths have been said about him. I`m an avid collector of his work, not neglecting his *entire* teenage & adult career, unlike most; having all moves he has been in. I am confident in saying that Carl Switzer is a true icon in American Pop Culture. All of his characters were gold. These `Historians` never invested the time to actually LEARN about his life. They only bring up the Urban Legend of what his life `became`, most of which is inaccurate I, having been a true fan since age 5, and now going on 19, am pretty sure I could write a book about him. In a Positive and respectful manner. I love Carl Switzer in every aspect. Would love to see you air more films with him on TCM. 'The Gas House Kids in Hollywood' would be a great one to show! Carl has so much comedic talent, he could of been in the dullest film with a the weakest script, but still make the best of it, & give his all. He will always bring a smile to my face, and joy to my heart.

From Lil' Rascal to big rascal.

I watched the "Lil' Rascals" on television when I was a kid and Alfalfa is one of the main characters I remember- along with Spanky and Buckwheat. It was years ago when I watched "It's a Wonderful Life" that I recognised Carl Switzer (Alfalfa) playing a prankster who opened the gym floor for James Stewart and Donna Reed to fall into the swimming pool. I also spotted him in "My favorite Blond" and "Pat and Mike" I was amazed at his performance in "Track of the Cat" with Robert Mitchum. He played an old Native American, Joe Sam, who was a hired hand. He had very little lines but did a good job. Can't believe Alfalfa was under that makeup and as an actor stayed in Hollywood all these years and was in many films. I also read where he supposedly urinated on a studio light because he "didn't get his way". Lil rascal to big rascal. I would like to see TCM do a character spot on Carl (Alfalfa) Switzer.
