James Sutorius worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Sutorius began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the crime feature "Cruising" (1980) with Al Pacino, "I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can" (1982) and "Windy City" (1984). He also appeared in the TV movie "A Death in Canaan" (1977-78). He had a part on the television special "The Andros Targets" (1976-77). Sutorius worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "The Bob Crane Show" (1974-75). He also starred in the TV movies "The Long Journey Home" (1987-88), "Perry Mason: The Case of the Avenging Ace" (1987-88) and "A Whisper Kills" (1987-88). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Quantum Leap" (1988-1993). Recently, he tackled roles on "The X-Files" (1993-2002), "Party of Five" (1994-2000) and "Leaving L.A." (1996-97). He also was featured in the TV movies "Matlock: The Scam" (1994-95) and "For the Future: the Irvine Fertility Scandal" (1995-96). Sutorius most recently acted on "Southland" (2008-2013).
