Actress Karen Steele was widely known for her presence on the silver screen. Steele began her acting career with roles in such films as the Red Skelton drama "The Clown" (1953), the Ernest Borgnine dramatic adaptation "Marty" (1955) and the drama "Toward the Unknown" (1956) with William Holden. She also appeared in "Decision at Sundown" (1957) with Randolph Scott. She continued to work steadily in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, appearing in "Ride Lonesome" (1959), "Westbound" (1959) and "The Rise and Fall of Legs Diamond" (1960). She also appeared in the dramedy "40 Pounds of Trouble" (1963) with Tony Curtis. She also was featured in the TV movie "Death of a Salesman" (1965-66). She held additional roles in television including a part on "Star Trek" (1966-69). Steele last acted in "The Trap on Cougar Mountain" (1972).
