Despite working in film and television for four decades, Arlen Dean Snyder never became a household name. He began his career in theater, where he developed a reputation as a great actor and a stern and imposing stage manager. Snyder made his film debut in 1966 alongside Marsha Mason in the in the drag racing drama, "Hot Rod Hullabaloo." That same year, he appeared on television for the first time on the long-running soap opera "The Secret Storm." He'd go on to appear in a number of notable soaps over the years, including "As the World Turns," "Dallas," and "Dynasty." In film, he most often appeared in crime dramas like "Deadly Force" or "No Man's Land," which co-starred D.B. Sweeney and Charlie Sheen. However, he is best known by fans of Steven Seagal, as he played as Duvall in the 1990 the action hit "Marked for Death." The film was Seagal's third, and came out during the upswing of his career, preceding "Under Siege" by two years. A rousing financial success, the film raised Snyder's notoriety, and landed him guest spots on a series of popular television shows including: the sitcom "Full House," the family drama "The Wonder Years," and the mystery series "Murder, She Wrote" ...
