  • Forever a fan of Ann.

I have been a fan since I was a young teen. I saw "Our Very Own" and thought she was the greatest. This will probably sound crazy, but way back then you could get decals of movie stars to put on things. I had one that I had on something til I was grown. I always hoped someday to meet her and get an autographed photo, but that dream never happened. I wish I could get this message to her to let her know how very much she meant to me and how much I enjoyed her movies. As I write this there is a re-run of her appearance on TV -- "Murder She Wrote" ! Ann if you should read this -- you made my trips to the movies terrific ! And tho' I'm a senior citizen now --- I never miss your movies when they are own TV ! God Bless And thanks for making this once upon a time teenager so special ! Still A Fan --- Janet Heller

I LOVE ANN BLYTH, SHE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES, SHE IS POWERFUL. I AM A COLLECTOR OF CLASSIC FILMS OF ALL SORTS. MILDRED PIERCE IS ONE OF HER BEST. HOWEVER, ANOTHER FILM I LOVE IS EVEN MORE IS A NONE SPEAKING ROLL. ANN BLYTH WAS ABOUT 19 YEARS OLD WHEN SHE MADE THIS FILM AND IT IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE. "MR. PEABODY AND THE MERMAID" WHAT WAS AMAZING ABOUT ANN BLYTH IS THAT SHE WAS ABLE TO MASTER HER EXPERSSION AND EMOTIONS SO CLEARLY THAT I UNDERSTOOD EVEYTHING THAT SHE WAS TRYING TO SAY AND HOW SHE WAS FEELING. SHE DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB OF IT. THIS MOVIES WAS BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN, PRODUCED, DIRECTED AND PHOTOGRAPHED. THIS FILM WOULD HAVE BEEN A BLOCKBUSTER IF IT WAS MADE IN COLOR. I HAVE SEARCHED FOR THIS FILM ON DVD FOR 4 YEARS AND NEEDING IT TO BE A REGION 1 DISTRIBUTION. MOST ARE VHS FORMAT, OUT OF THE COUNTRY BY FOREIGN DISTRIBUTORS OR SOME POORLY COPIED (PROBABLY PIRATED). I WISH THAT TCM AND UNIVERSAL WOULD RERELEASE THIS FILM ON DVD. PLEASE HELP I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOVIES FOR 4 YEARS, I AM A BIG FAN OF THIS FILM. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS MOVE HAS NOT BEEN RERELEASE ON DVD. PLEASE HELP.

I missed the interview with Ann Blythe before and after the showing of Kismet. Any possibility of putting it on your web site or repeating it one of these evenings. Thank you very much.

"Mildred Pierce" was Ann Blyths' finest performance. She was acting but she came across as if everything she did was normal and natural. Ann couldn't have been more than 16 or 17 during this filming. She should have won a best supporting actress Oscar for this performance.

  • Looking for Aunt Ann

Ann Blyth is my grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughter. And my mother was named after her Alice Blyth Reiger. I watch TCM every day (not an exageration) and was wondering if you could do a special of Ann Blyth movies and of her life. I would love to be able to get in touch with her. I love to watch her movies, there is such a strong resemblance between my mother and her! Recently I saw a spotlight on Joan Crawford that Ann did. I realized the voice sounded so familiar and I thought how much she and my mother sounded alike. (My mother passed away in 1983 and I have not heard that voice in years)Thank you Kevin Burrier

It's a shame Ann Blyth didn't have more dramatic roles because anyone so young who could not only hold her own but create such a memorable character opposite the likes of Joan Crawford must have had a lot of promise. Mildred Pierce is one of those movies that if I see it's on I have to sit down and watch the rest of it.

Ann was on a promo tour and when in San Francisco I was lucky to take her to her interviews. I did this with many Stars. She without a doubt was the only one that had true beauty. She was more beautiful off the screen than on. Jet black hair, green eyes, alabaster skin and what a smile. Could not be more friendly. We were the same age and strict company policy was you didn't get involved with the stars. I could tell you some stories, but not about Ann Blyte.

  • ANN BLYTH-WONDERFUL ACTRESS!!!!

ANN BLYTH IS ONE GREAT ACTRESS. SHE REALLY WAS FABULOUS IN THE FILM MILDRED PIERCE. SHE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN AN ACADEMY AWARD FOR HER PERFORMANCE!!!! I REALLY LOVE HER ACTING . I HOPE TO SEE MORE MOVIES WITH HER STARRING IN THEM ON TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES...

  • ANN BLYTH---GREAT IN EVERY SCREEN ROLE

ANN BLYTH IS ONE OF THE MOST UNAPPRECIATED ACTRESS THAT HOLLYWOOD HAS HAD. CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY ALL OF HER MOVIES ARE NOT ON DVD. DON'T THE STUDIOS REALIZE THE LARGE MARKET THAT EXISTS FOR MOVIES LIKE KISMET, ROSE MARIE, THE KINGS THIEF AND THE WORLD IN HIS ARMS. ANN BLYTH'S VOICE WAS SO GREAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED MY MGM MUCH MORE THAN IT WAS. I HAD THE PLEASURE OF SEEING HER IN A STAGE PRODUCTION OF SHOWBOAT SOME YEARS AGO AND SHE WAS PERFECT. GREAT STAR, GREAT ACTRESS, GREAT VOICE.
