Thanks for showing this movie. I have seen this version several times on local stations who show it as either too dark or too hard to hear or even worse, colorized. I appreciate a network of your caliber picking up this classic as it is superior to the inexplicably more often broadcast George C. Scott version. If I want to see "Patton does Scrooge" I can always just watch "Patton" and eliminate the middle man. Thanks again.

While many have attempted to emulate Dickens’s character, none of come close to this performance by Alastair Sim. He is Ebenezer Scrooge. The same is true for all of the characters in this outstanding cast. Please TCM this should be the only " A Christmas Carol" you air!

This is the best "scrooge" movie out of all of them. I wish it was shown more around Christmas. I like the way Alastair Sim portrays "Scrooge." Great movie!!

One of the most entertaining actors I've ever seen. I wish TCM would show more of his movies.

He is a superb actor and the most wonderful Scrooge. I wish TCM would devote a day to his movies. They are very hard to find and I would like to watch them all.
