    Sylvia Sidney has always been a favorite actress of mine. STREET SCENE only enforced my feelings. What a great performance and a simply great movie.

    Here's a correction to my review of TMC's excellent biography of Sylvia Sidney. I incorrectly referred to the film as "A Touch of Frost;" it's actually "A Early Frost." Sorry, Don Church Groton, CT

    In your biography of Sylvia Sidney you mentioned that she got her second Emmy nomination for the TV movie "A Touch of Frost." It would more appropriate to write that this superb actress was more than an Emmy 'also-ran;' she won the 1985 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a "A Touch of Frost." She later told me that she donated her salary from the TV film to AIDS. Don Church Groton, CT
