The 1985-'89 ABC-TV comedy series "Moonlighting" could have probably run a number of additional seasons, if Bruce Willis had not decided instead to pursue a feature film career after the success of '88 action film "Die Hard." Still, actor Jack Blessing was able to squeak out a solid run as a series regular over mostly the final two years with his portrayal of MacGillicudy, a worker at the P.I. investigative outfit run by Willis's and Cybill Shepherd's characters. The show came on the heels of Blessing's larger costarring role alongside Darren McGavin in the CBS odd-couple crime solving duo show "Small and Frye." Unfortunately, that program lasted only a half-dozen episodes. But Blessing isn't complaining. He's done voice work for several thousand film and TV projects over the course of his career, while continuing to find steady work as a TV guest star in "Murder One" and "George Lopez." His other big shot at TV fame came via a series-regular part in the '95-'98 Téa Leoni sitcom "The Naked Truth," but once again, the journalism send-up was canceled after three seasons, despite solid reviews.
