When James Bond (Agent 007) investigates the murders of three fellow agents, he soon finds himself a target, evading vicious assassins as he closes in on the powerful Kananga. As Bond tries to unravel the mastermind's plan, he meets Solitaire, the beautiful Tarot card reader whose magical gifts are crucial to the crime lord. Bond works his own magic on her, and embarks on a series of adventures, involving voodoo, hungry crocodiles and turbo-charged speedboats.

They spend a few days together and become lovers before she disappers one night, but Harry does not know her surname. Harry falls in love and asks the Baroness to leave the Baron who has taken up with a lady of his own. Hello-Goodbye is a light comedy where one of the funny moments occurs with a drunk Harry driving a prize vintage car into a swimming pool.
