Virginia Sale worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. In her early acting career, Sale appeared in such films as "Below the Deadline" (1929), "Back Pay" (1930) and "Lovin' the Ladies" (1930). She also appeared in "Showgirl in Hollywood" (1930) with Alice White, the John Barrymore dramatic adventure "Moby Dick" (1930) and "Gold Dust Gertie" (1931). She kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in "Those We Love" (1932), the drama "Oliver Twist" (1933) with Dickie Moore and "The Iron Master" (1933). She also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "The Man With Two Faces" (1934) with Edward G Robinson. Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "Miss Polly" (1941), the Shirley Temple Black romance "Miss Annie Rooney" (1942) and "The Big Shot" (1942). She also appeared in "Dark Mountain" (1944) and "Badman's Territory" (1946). Sale last acted in the Victor Buono adventurous drama "Big Daddy" (1969). Sale's husband was Sam Wren and Sale had two children. Virginia Sale passed away in August 1992 at the age of 93.
