"When we started Tribeca [studios] it was clearly to do movies in which Bob [De Niro] could serve in a variety of capacities," Rosenthal said in a recent phone interview. "But when you look at the New York film community, there is so much talent here that TV was a natural extension.
She says that when she and De Niro got the pitch from a West Coast producer, David Burke, for "Tribeca," the response was, "God, we have to do this, of course.
