Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Actress Romy Rosemont, despite the lack of a starring vehicle in her career, has been hard at it for over 20 years in show business, finding continual work in that period in both film and television. She began in small film roles--playing receptionists, nurses, assistants, and waitresses--in a variety of genres in the late 1980s. As the '90s unfolded, she found herself getting steady work on TV with bit parts in the sitcoms "Murphy Brown," "Roseanne," and "Ellen." She also took on dramatic roles in the medical drama "ER," the teen drama "Melrose Place," and the sci-fi series "Babylon 5." Rosemont's plate remained full throughout the 2000s with over 35 appearances on major network shows during the decade. She had recurring work as Jacqui Franco on 14 episodes of the police procedural "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" from 2002 until 2005 and multiple appearances on the action series "Prison Break" the sitcom "Brothers & Sisters" and a voice role on the FOX animated series "King of the Hill." She has also landed a breakout role on the surprise FOX hit "Glee," playing Carole Hudson, the widowed mother of Fenn.
