A native of Winnipeg, Donnelly Rhodes is a prolific character actor best known for his role as Doc Cottle on the 2004 TV revival of "Battlestar Galactica." After studying theater in Canada, Rhodes began working on American TV productions during the 1960s, appearing in episodes of "Maverick," "Wagon Train," "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour," and "The Virginian," among many other shows. In '69, he had a small role in the renowned Western film "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," and he continued making TV guest appearances throughout the '70s, with featured parts in episodes of "Mission: Impossible," "Baretta," and "The New Adventures of Wonder Woman." In '78, Rhodes scored the recurring role of Dutch Leitner on the quirky sitcom "Soap" and appeared in more than 30 episodes of the series. The '80s found Rhodes featured in short stints on the procedural drama "Hill Street Blues" and the sitcom "Double Trouble," and he finally found a starring part in the Canadian adventure series "Danger Bay," which he appeared in for six seasons. Rhodes remained active throughout the 1990s, and returned to a regular series in '98 with the detective show "Da Vinci's Inquest," but his most high-profile role didn't arrive...
