Barney Bigard crafted a successful career bringing his musical talents to the big screen. Bigard worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "New Orleans" (1947) starring Dorothy Patrick, "St. Louis Blues" with Nat King Cole (1958), "The Untouchables" (1987) and "White Men Can't Jump" with Wesley Snipes (1992). In the nineties and the early 2000s, Bigard devoted his time to various credits, such as "Marsalis on Music" (PBS, 1995-96), "The Legend of Bagger Vance" (2000), "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" (2002) starring Ellen Burstyn and "Hart's War" with Bruce Willis (2002). Bigard had a number of different projects under his belt in the early 2000s and the 2010s, including "Red Dragon" (2002) starring Anthony Hopkins, "White Countess" (2005), "Up in the Air" with George Clooney (2009) and "Mildred Pierce" (2010-11). Bigard also acted in "Symphony in Black."
