Standing 5 feet 2 inches in height, her blonde hair and hazel eyes were quite memorable. Educated in Texas and Arizona, she played on the stage before entering films in 1910. Ruth appeared in ‘The Last of Mrs. Cheney’ with George Barnes and Dorothy Desmond and in December of 1923 she married Wellington N. Belford who was reportedly a U.S. army major. It was later revealed that he was not a major and he was arrested for impresonating an army office.
