Roscoe's varied credits include Joseph Strick's screen version of James Joyce's "A Portrait of the Artist As a Young Man" (1977), Karel Reisz's film "Who'll Stop the Rain?" (1978) (co-adapted, with author Robert Stone, from his award-winning novel "Dog Soldiers"), Zeffirelli's "Endless Love" (1981), Wayne Wang's "Eat a Bowl of Tea" (1989) and Sydney Pollack's "Havana" (1990).
