Robert Preston Merservey (known professionally as 'Robert Preston') moved to California with his parents, and Grandparents at the age of TWO. He grew up and attended school in CALIFORNIA. He had ONE BROTHER- Frank- who preceded him in death. Frank (a younger brother) died of lukemia. He had NO sisters. There are SOOO many sources for this info concerning Robert Preston, I'm really surprised someone tried to spin this fiction.

I grew up next door to the family of Robert Preston as a child. His parents and a sister who kept to themselves. His Dad was always tending to a beautiful garden. As a young child of ten I was so impressed I taught myself about gardening.(1965) I never saw Robert Preston but last year his childhood home burned down on Boylston Street, Newton Highlands, and it was recently knocked. I thought how sad that probably most of the population in Newton does not even know that it was his childhood home. I guess I"m just a old sentimental fool. My mom was born on 6/5/1935 and died of lung cancer on 6/22/1996 at the age of 61. I see that Robert Preston died at age 69 of lung cancer. What an awful disease.
