Summer Under The Stars 2014
For consideration for Next Year's 2014 Summer Under The Stars, a day for this gorgeous funny lady Where The Boys Are The Honeymoon Machine Follow The Boys Bachelor In Paradise Horizontal Lieutenant The World Of Henry Orient What's New Pussycat In Harm's Way Man's Favorite Sport In her heyday, Ms. Prentiss worked with Steve McQueen, Peter Sellars, Peter O'Toole, John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Warren Beatty, etc. and female stars such as Lana Turner. Likely the last of the MGM studio stars.
An actress who never fails to delight
- Carolie Swindle
Always loved her acting. So pleased to see her in Mrs. Winterbourne, and happy she is still married to another great actor, Richard Benjamin. I wish them a long life of happiness. May God continue to bless them and their family. Carolie
Gorgeous Funny Lady
- David Atkins
MGM took one look at the gorgeous Paula Prentiss and signed Paula Prentiss ( nee Paula Ragusa of San Antonio) to a 7 year contract. Prentiss was teamed with Jim Hutton in 4 great MGM comedies: Where The Boys Are, Honeymoon Machine, Bachelor in Paradise, and my favorite Horizontal Lieutenant. Prentiss worked with John Wayne, Lana Turner, Rock Hudson, Peter O Toole, Peter Sellears, Warren Beatty at al in a great career. Now retired we can all enjoy La Prentiss in In Harm's Way, What's New Pussycat, The World of Henry Orient, Man's Favorite Sport? etc. A great and lovely star. I wish Hutton and Prentiss had made one more movie after Hotizontal Lieutenant after they both became major movie stars. While Prentiss worked with super stars, she worked with the best when Paula Prentiss starred with Jim Hutton
She Was The Best!
- Miss Mary
I think that Paula Prentiss was just wonderful. She had a grand comedic talent and was a true beauty. Sometimes, I wish she would do a film or even a little t.v., but then I think that she must be happy kicking back with Richard Benjamin (who she had been married to since 1961!) She was just wonderful and I hope that she is not forgotten any time soon at all.
Where is Paula Today?
Every once in awhile you remember an actress you loved and it dawns on you, where has she gone? i read her bio but nothing after 1997. Is she retired? any plans to come back to acting? is there any recent works not mentioned in her bio? i hope she's doing well and knows that she and her talent is not forgotten. I also miss her husband richard benjiman. Are they still together? They were great together.
She is the greatest comic actress to ever grace the screen. She's so talented and beautiful!!!! Her performances in Man's Favoite Sport? and What's New Pussycat? are the best.....You MUST watch her.
