One In A Million...
- Steve S.
Dick Powell really could do it all. From juvenile song and dance man - comedy - tough guy - drama - director - TV producer...A true Hollywood star!
My Favorite Actor
Dick Powell was an incredible man both on the screen and off. He was constantly challenging himself to improve and to change, which caused him to participate in a variety of movies. He is always a joy to see on screen; I can watch him over and over again and never get bored. A true talent who should be better remembered, but because of his lack of ego is not, Dick Powell is tops.
Box Office or Tube - no matter.
I have never seen anything with Mr. Powell in it that I didn't like. Two of my favorites, I am sorry to say, I can't find on DVD, are "You Never Can Tell (One Never Knows)," and "It Happened Tomorrow." Both are truly entertaining. Lots of troubles and lots of fun.
A Million Dollar Smile
- Dave Conforte
Dick Powell could do drama and musical comedy equally well and he had a smile that lit up a room when he entered. He sang with ease.

Dick was a great singer. I love his music and he is especially good wth Joan Blondell. I wish I could see all of his earlier movies.
Dick Powell has an amazing voice. From the first time I watched him in a Busby Berkeley musical I had fallen in love with his acting and singing. His excellent work in later movies serves as proof of his versatility and ability to be more than just a musical/comedy actor. Powell is truly one of the best!
Dick Powell should not be forgotten.

He was so great and so talented in many fields. He doesn't get the credit and recognition he deserves.
