Dorothy was born in Philadelphia,Pa.in 1923 She started singing at an early age. She was on the Horner and Hart Hour in Philly when she was young. She worked with the Ritz Brothers on their tours in the beginning of her career. Dorothy won second place in a Miss Philadephia contest. She sang with Xavier Cougat in 2 movies and with Louis Prima before Keely Smith. She made 6 films for Paramount and MGM studios. She opened the original El Rancho Hotel in Las Vegas, Nv. She was also on radio in Philadephia, Los Angeles and in Las Vegas and made many records for Capitol Records in California.
