Died: June 7, 1971 Palm Springs, CA
A very successful bandleader in the 1920s, his orchestra featured future stars Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman among others. Pollack came to public attention in 1922 while he was a drummer with the New Orleans Rhythm Kings. In 1924, Pollack moved to California and began one of several bands he created over the years. His bands played across the country and in the 1950s, he performed at a restaurant he owned in Hollywood and in the 1960s, he and his sister formed a club act they performed in Palm Springs.
