Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Along with the likes of Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, Roddy Piper helped make the World Wrestling Federation (a.k.a. the WWF) immensely popular during the 1980s. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Piper first entered show biz as hyper and volatile "bad guy" wrestler, Rowdy Roddy Piper, who by the 1980s, was one of the most renowned names of the WWF. One of his more famous bouts was the first-ever "WrestleMania", in which Piper and Paul Orndorff went up against Hogan and Mr. T. By the late 1980s however, Piper launched an acting career in movies and television, which expectedly consisted of him playing either tough guys or bad guys in action settings (including such titles as "Hell Comes to Frogtown", "No Contest", "Terminal Rush", etc.). Piper has also continued to make wrestling appearances on television as well, including such shows as "WWF Raw" during the early 21st century.
