d. April 5, 1952 Duarte, CA.
Former theatre critic and stage actor. He was very involved with Russian theatrical productions and in London he worked with John Barrymore on the production of ‘Hamlet.’ Moving to New York, Uraneff became very involved in theatre and staged several tragedies based on the works of Meyerhold and Blok. Barrymore said that Uraneff was one of the most promising Russian actors in America.
