Tanya Tucker found success as an actress early on, when she was just 16 years old. Tucker worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "Austin City Limits" (PBS, 1974-2015), "Christine" (1983) and "Hard Country" with Jan-Michael Vincent (1981). She also contributed to "Opryland USA -- 1975" (ABC, 1974-75), "Resurrection" with Ellen Burstyn (1980) and "Smokey and the Bandit II" (1980) starring Burt Reynolds. In the eighties and the nineties, Tucker devoted her time to various credits, such as "TNN's All-Star Salute to Country Music" (The Nashville Network, 1989-1990), "The 23rd Annual Country Music Association Awards" (CBS, 1989-1990) and "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" (1991). She also worked on "Father Hood" with Patrick Swayze (1993). Tucker continued to exercise her talent in the nineties, taking on a mix of projects like "Rhythm, Country & Blues: An "In the Spotlight" Special" (PBS, 1993-94), "TNN Music City News Country Awards" (The Nashville Network, 1993-94) and "The 27th Annual Country Music Association Awards" (CBS, 1993-94).
