d. June 20, 1921 Los Angeles, CA.
A former railroad clerk, Tucker made a name for himself in 1913 with a film entitled "Traffic in Souls." He and several other directors financed $7500 to make the film and within days, it had grossed half a million dollars. In 1913, Tucker moved to England and made a number of highly regarded films, returning to the U.S. in 1917. Tucker was married to actress Elisabeth Risdon.
