Leonard Penn worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Early on in his acting career, Penn landed roles in various films, including the musical "The Firefly" (1937) with Jeanette MacDonald, "Between Two Women" (1937) with Franchot Tone and the Myrna Loy comedy "Man-Proof" (1938). He also appeared in the Lewis Stone drama "Judge Hardy's Children" (1938), "Marie Antoinette" (1938) and "The Toy Wife" (1938). His film career continued throughout the thirties and the forties in productions like the comedy "Bachelor Mother" (1939) with Ginger Rogers, the Freddie Stewart musical "High School Hero" (1946) and "I Cover Big Town" (1947) with Philip Reed. He also appeared in "The Dead Don't Dream" (1948). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "King of the Congo" (1952), "Outlaw Women" (1952) and the adventure "Savage Mutiny" (1953) with Johnny Weissmuller. He also appeared in "King Richard and the Crusaders" (1954) starring Rex Harrison. Penn also acted in "Brick Bradford." Penn was married to Gladys George.
