Percival Pearce was born in Waukegan, Illinois, in 1900, of prominent parents. He was a gifted cartoonist and went west to Hollywood to work. He met Walt Disney while both were making cartoons on the Santa Monica beach. He became a director, producer and writer for many of Disney's early animation movies. Later, Walt sent him to England to produce Disney's first live action feature movie, 'ROB ROY'. He remained there as the British government insisted that money earned in England had to stay in England. He later died there, in approximately 1956.
