Kay Williams, an executive with Styles, Inc., is true to her absent husband Bill despite much harassment for dates from co-workers. But when Bill finally returns from Europe, it becomes increasingly evident to Kay that he has been a world- class philanderer. Still loving him, Kay decides to take gentle revenge by making him think she does likewise. Ensuing comic events ridicule the double standard at every opportunity.

In this slightly-modified remake of Universal's 1941 "Road Agent", Wells Fargo agents Jack Douglas (Kirby Grant) and Roscoe O'Toole (Fuzzy Knight) are sent after a gang of stage robbers. Donny Burton (Bernard Thomas), brother of Laura Burton (Jane Adams), is implicated before Jack is able to prove that saloon owner Lee Payne (Danny Morton) is the man behind the outlaw gang.

After having been framed by gamblers, Muggs is barred from riding in horse races. Snce he can no longer race, he takes up a collection so Ma Brown, who owns the horses won't have her stable foreclosed on. However, one of the gamblers involved in the frame falls for Ma Brwn's daughter, and decides to come clean and confess to the police about the frame. The other gamblers hear about it and set out to shut him up and discredit Muggs and Ma Brown once and for all.

Attorney Wayne Fletcher and his secretary are having an affair, so when Wayne's wife is found smothered to death, he becomes the prime suspect. As the police investigate the murder, a psychic with questionable motives tries to contact the deceased woman. Soon, Wayne begins seeing visions of his dead wife, and other people involved with the case begin to be killed, one by one.
