Indeed, Ms Page had her eccentricities, but compare her Evie Jackson in Dear Heart to the woman clinging to an unattainable perfection in life and design in Allen's Interiors. These extremely diverse roles show an uunderstanding of craft that is rare. This was an actress capable of anything.

IMO one of the most versatile actresses of her generation, loved her stand out performances in Sweet Bird of Youth and Bountiful. Do not agree with one part of the TCM review, regarding her looks, I think she was quite attractive in her prime. No she was not a Greta Garbo, Ava Gardner, Gene Tierney or Rita Hayworth, not a gorgeous woman, but very nice to look and super talented. She gave edgy performances which were quite emotional, like Vivian Leigh. I think to compare her talent to her husband's is not necessary, they both had real skill, like Hepburn and Tracy or Leigh and Olivier. Class acts.

Neither Page, nor her husband, ever received proper recognition for their acting abilities. Who today is greater than these two ? Lynn

Watching her co-star with John Wayne in Hondo, this was the first time I had ever seen her act, as far as I know. What a different and refreshing actress. Such a simple but yet outstanding performance by a beautiful woman.

When I think back which are my favorite movies Geraldine Page is in at least two of them. Dear Heart and Trip To Bountiful. There was something very special about those two movies, because she was in them. I'm getting up there in age, but I'll always remember Geraldine Page and the joy she brought to me watching her. You are missed Geraldine, but always remembered and in our hearts.

  • GERALDINE PAGE IS OUTSTANDING IN THIS PIC.

MY WIFE (BILLIE) AND I ENJOYED THIS FILM. IT REMINDED US OF A TRIP WE TO0K WITH BILLIE'S MOTHER TO FIND HER COUNRY HOME IN TENNESSEE. IT WAS JUST A WIDE SPOT IN THE ROAD WHEN MOMMA LELA LIVED THERE AND WE COULD NOT FIND THE SPOT. THAT GERALDINE FOUND HER HOUSE MADE MY SWEETHEART BILLIE FEEL BETTER.HOWEVER, I LOST HER TO A HEART ATTACK IN JAN 2008. I WON'T BE HAPPY AGAIN UNTIL I JOIN HER. A REALLY GOOD MOVE.
