Jack Overman worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Overman started his acting career landing roles in such films as the Otto Kruger horror film "Jungle Captive" (1945), "The Missing Lady" (1946) and the Burt Lancaster drama "Brute Force" (1947). He also appeared in the thriller "The Brasher Doubloon" (1947) with George Montgomery. He continued to act in productions like "Assigned to Danger" (1948), "Force of Evil" (1948) and the documentary "T-Men" (1948) with Dennis O'Keefe. He also appeared in "Chicago Deadline" (1949) with Alan Ladd. Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in "Flaxy Martin" (1949), "The Lone Wolf and His Lady" (1949) and "The Good Humor Man" (1950). Overman last acted in the drama "Jet Pilot" (1957) with John Wayne.
