Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Canadian actor Peter Outerbridge has earned much acclaim in the Great White North as a nine-time nominee of the Gemini Awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Emmy. After studying acting at the University of Victoria, he spent four years touring with the Canadian theater troupe Way Off Broadway before breaking into television in 1990 with a one-off role on the American undercover cop drama "21 Jump Street." While he went on to make many appearances on American television, he's made his biggest mark in Canadian TV. In 1996, he earned his first Gemini nod for his one-off role in the science fiction anthology series "The Outer Limits." The second was for the racially charged docudrama "Captive Heart: The James Mink Story," in which Outerbrigde played William Johnson, a deceptive slave trader. The next two came for his portrayal of Detective Bob Kozlowski in the politically charged mystery "Chasing Cain" and its sequel, "Chasing Cain: Face." After a nomination for his part in the comedy-infused law drama "This Is Wonderland," he earned his last four nods for his portrayal of geneticist David Sandstrom, the main character of the popular sci-fi thriller "ReGenesis."
