Kay Starr made incredible contributions to a variety of big screen productions through her amazing knack for music. She appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Glenn Miller Band Reunion" (1988-89), "Those Fabulous 40's" (1991-92) and "America in the Forties" (1997-98). In addition to her acting, Starr also contributed music to "The Right Stuff" (1983). In the nineties and the early 2000s, Starr devoted her time to various credits, such as "L.A. Confidential" with Kevin Spacey (1997), "Popular Song: Soundtrack of the Century," "Rumor Has It..." (2005) and "Confetti" (2006) starring Martin Freeman. Starr had a number of different projects under her belt in the early 2000s and the 2010s, including "Fido" (2007), "Married Life" with Pierce Brosnan (2008) and the Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo blockbuster "Shutter Island" (2010). Starr most recently appeared in "The Stars and Stripes Show" ().
