Vana O'Brien was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. She additionally landed roles in the TV movies "The Haunting of Sarah Hardy" (1988-89), "Child of Darkness, Child of Light" (USA, 1990-91) and "Chrome Soldiers" (USA, 1991-92). In the early stages of her Hollywood career, O'Brien held acting roles in films like the River Phoenix dramatic adaptation "My Own Private Idaho" (1991). She also appeared in the TV special "Mystery Dance" (ABC, 1994-95). She also landed a role in the miniseries "Dead by Sunset" (1995-96). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter?" (NBC, 1992-93). She also was featured in the TV movie "Where the Truth Lies" (Lifetime, 1999-2000). She also appeared in the drama "Elephant" (2003) with Alex Frost. O'Brien's distinctive voice can be heard on "Memoria Mortalis" (2000). Most recently, O'Brien acted in the Alan Arkin dramatic adaptation "Raising Flagg" (2007).
