Tony Rock's acting career began when he was a mere 17 years old. He began his acting career with roles in the series "Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam" (1991-2008), "Comedy Central Presents..." (Comedy Central, 1998-2011) and "All of Us" (2003-07). He also appeared in "Everybody Hates Chris" (2005-09). During the early stages of his acting career, Rock worked in films like the Bobby Collins comedy "Open Mic" (2004). He continued his comedic performances throughout the early 2000s and the 2010s, appearing on"In the Flow with Affion Crockett" (Fox, 2010-11). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Life Support" (HBO, 2006-07). Following that project, he worked on the comedy "Homie Spumoni" (2007) with Whoopi Goldberg and "Three Can Play That Game" (2008) with Vivica A. Fox. He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "In the Flow with Affion Crockett" (Fox, 2010-11). Recently, he tackled roles on "Let's Stay Together" (2010-14), "Single Ladies" (VH1, 2010-14) and "Reed Between the Lines" (BET, 2011-13).
